Thanks Colette, this is fun.

BUT how rude of those people, I look up #1 on the US charts of my birthday and it turns out to be "Godnight Irene" by The Weavers, so far so good. Then to the Australian chart and I get a message something like "sorry we don't have information for the period prior to .... " Well, there were charts then, we had radio stations and radios (even though they were coal powered).
Then I decide to look up the info for my daughter Sophie Lee, and what do I find, #1 in the USA "Baby Don't Forget My Number" by ....... (I can hardly bring myself to type these words) .......... MILLI VANILLI !!!!!! Aaarrrgggggghhhh !! imageimageimage But wait, all is not lost. After the initial shock I went to the Australian charts and there it was, the gorgeous, timeless "Eternal Flame" by The Bangles. imageimage Can't help but be happy with that, what a great song to relate to that most special of relationships.
