I have had my head down working on my house for a while now, and haven't really signed on or checked mail much. Knocking off in a couple of days to play a
show back home called For the Sake of the Song, then dashing over to colorado to hook up with KWK for a weekend festival which we have done a couple times
before, always nice. See the tour page for details if you want to. Decided to do a string of midweek gigs, early shows at the continental in austin, just to
see if it might kickstart some new songs, make me get out some stuff I've never performed before, play with some different line ups, that kind of thing. I
really need to do that. Getting pretty tired of myself and my songs right now. Oh yeah, don't know if anyone mentioned this but you can get Dustin's CD
Whisky Priest at CDBaby. Check it out. I imagine there's more to report but I have to get back to slingin paint. Stuff like that. kw

Hey Kevin, good to hear from you. I just spent a three-day weekend working on our house -- the kind of manual work I don't do so much anymore. Man, I was
stiff. All those ladders.
Am now in Torino, not far from where you were playing a month or so back. Would have been great to have been here when you were in the neighborhood. Hope you had a good time along the north-west shore there. I hope to get out and about this weekend, see something of the north-Italy country-side. Take care, play well. Ron |

Good to hear you are heading out to the little Colorado festival KR, I have fond memeories from my little trip out that way last year, good wine, nice people,
great music and stunning scenery..enjoy the weekend and Hi to KLF. On the subject of new music, this week I received my copy of Ribbon of Highway, a two disc
set , a tribute to Woody Guthrie, songs from our faves including KW singing Vigilante Man but what I loved the most is that The late Bob Childers a much loved
figure around here narrates a memorial history of the Mid West throughout the ablum. It is a treasure worth having. I purchased it though www.slaidcleaves.com.
You can find the lyrics to Whiskey Priest on http://banjos.wordpress.com. They speak for themselves. The cost of the
album is covered by 'Lower East Side' alone. Winter just settling in over here now, after the mania of huge tides during May that severely damaged our
iconic beaches it is time for the Whales to migrate north to give birth to their new ones..it is a glorious thing to watch these giants frollick and nature run

Colorado IS BEAUTIFUL, and such a cool vibe.... one year I'm make that festival.
Hey, we all get busy or distracted doing one thing or another but I'm sure we all get here when we can. Friends forever man! Good work Kev, don't forget the power of the spray gun.  Well it works great on fences, but I did a whole lot of painting a deck last summer myself so I know the drill. Stroke.

I often put a cd of yours on when I work around the house. You should try it. I built a really nice island for the kitchen. It turned out great.
